Cheap and Quick Dog Games for High Enrichment

With the summer months in full swing and the hot weather steaming in, you need to think creative to keep your dogs cool this summer as you would hate for them to get heat stroke or feeling unwell (so would your bank account!). Here is a few ways to help get you and your dog cool this summer:

💧Ball bobbing - same principle as Apple popping but switch the Apple with their favourite ball and place in a shallower bowl of water. Encourage your dog to fish their toy out of the depths of the deep. This game is quick to set up, brilliant mental game and helps top up their water intake.

💧Freedom of the ice cubes - another quick one but you will need a hard floor or a space to play outside. Place some ice cubes on the floor and let them play with it / eat it / chase it etc. As the cubes begin to melt, the better it is for them to play with it.

💧Fetch the hose - most dogs, not all but most dogs LOVE water. Fetch out the hose and let them run around under it, eat it, etc. You can always water the garden in the process!

💧FroYo - near the end of your yogurt pot? top it up with kibble, treats, leftover fruits and vegs that are dog friendly, top it up with some water and stick it in the freezer for a frozen treat! You can also scoop it out and distribute into the tins of a muffin tray and mix and match with their favourite goodies too.
