It's not as expensive as you think to alter your cat's kibble!
Let's be honest, your cat doesn't really enjoy kibble but buying wet food regularly soon racks up the bills! Not only that, but regularly giving your cat kibble food isn't very good for them in the long run: firstly, it's dehydrating (big problem for cats as they are notorious lazy in that they would rather sleep than have a drink!) and secondly, it's not the healthiest food for them.
But it's not all doom and gloom, here are few tips that you can do to improve your cat's kibble and their day:
As a baseline, always add water to the kibble to ensure that your cat is hitting their daily water intake.
Canned tuna with spring water: you can try other canned fish but ensure there are no small bones that might cause more harm than good. Measure out their kibble and drain in either the water to help their kibble soak into (and make it last longer as the second round, the kibble could be mixed with tuna and water from the tap) or mix half the can with small sprinkle of kibble.
Bone Broth / Chicken Broth: you can either buy this in pet shops or read recipes on how to make your own as it's pretty easy to do! Don't buy the broth from the supermarket as it will most likely have ingredients that cats shouldn't digest, e.g. garlic, onion.
Spread out their wet food pouches: adding a few chunks with their gravy juices to your cat's kibble and water. You can even add a few little treats too!
Toppers: you can buy these pouches from the pet shop and same as above but instead of the wet food pouches, you can add these toppers to enrich your cat's kibbble.
Try out these when your cat turns their nose up at their kibble or if you are worried they are not drinking enough!
