Let's see if you have recently searched these popular dog themed questions too!

This is what we've found for the top popular dog themed questions!
Are dog years real? Yes, dog years are real and they are based on the fact dogs mature so much faster than we do. By the age of 2, they are now entering their teenage period, whereas, we are still a toddler reliant on others for our wellbeing. Apparently, the first year of a dog's life is equal to 15 human years (sad!). The second year of a dog's life is equal to about nine human years. Each additional year is equal to about four or five human years as their maturity slows down.
Are dog rocks safe? Not sure what dog rocks are, they are rocks that are placed in your dog's water bowl that neutralises their urine's PH level to stop them killing the grass every time they pee. These rocks are harmless and generally safe, unless you have a dog that LOVES rocks then you would need to review how this works e.g. placing it in a jug which you use to top their water up with.
Can dog eat strawberries?
Strawberries are non-toxic and generally safe to eat. However, we do recommend keeping an eye on your dog for the first time to make sure they don't experience an allergic reaction. Like everything, please moderate the delicious strawberry intake as it contains a lot of sugar for our lovely dogs.
When a dog refuses to walk, what does this mean? If this is ongoing issue, you would need to take the time to identify the triggers that have caused this hesitation - have they been attacked by another dog? have they experienced a loud noise that they weren't expecting? are they anxious? If this has been more of a recent issue, it might be worth booking an appointment with a physiotherapist (read our article on this!) to check for any underlying issues.
When a dog sleeps on your bed, what does this mean?
It basically means you are THEIR person, if not, their favourite person. Dogs choose to sleep with their favourite person as it provides them comfort and security, especially when they get to know where you are at all times.
What dog should I get? We recommend always thinking about how much time you could give to a dog, what's your lifestyle looking like, how much time can you spend on mental enrichment, how much time can you spend on walks and financially, how much food can you afford. From there, we would then recommend heading to your local rescue centre as they can pair you up with the ideal dog for you that meets these criterias.
