So, the real question here as a response is, is your cat indoor or outdoors?
If your cat is outdoors, it can be considered as cruel and unnecessary because they will naturally trim the claws down as they climb, run and scratch on their ventures. Claws also how a cat defends themselves and if you trim them, that impacts their security.
If your cat is indoors, it is advised to trim the claws to prevent them getting too long and painful, but also, for your furniture. You can cut your cat's claws either at home or book an appointment with the vets.
