Here are the tips to help your cat during a house move ⬇️:

🐈 Plan ahead - would your cat find it less stressful being in a cattery during the move or would your find it less stressful being there with you every step of the way?

🐈 Make a space for your cat - Cats love having safe spaces dotted around the home. If you can go to the home ahead of time, take some of their belongings - blankets, cat trees, cat beds and their favourite toys, to help fill the room with their scent.

🐈 Use a plug-in diffuser - If you have noticed that your cat is getting stressed with all the boxes and changes within your current home, buy a plug-in cat calming diffuser to help with their adjustments and make sure to pack in with you for the new home.

🐈 Comfort them - Although you have made a space for your cat, make a conscious effort to comfort them regularly with love, affection, patience and treats.

🐈 Section the house - Exposing your cat to the whole house can be extremely overwhelming, it is recommended to section the house in areas and every couple of days, open up a new section for them to explore.

🐈 When to let them roam outside - it’s recommended to leave it a couple of weeks to a month to ensure that the cat knows where their new home is.

Don’t forget! Don’t forget to update their microchip and register with a local vets.
